Abstracts

Procedure

  • Abstract to be submitted electronically by the author to the conference website by the June 15, 2008 deadline. A Topic Area will be selected from a drop-down menu.
  • All abstracts in a Topic Area will be quickly reviewed electronically by August 10, 2008.
  • A letter will be sent electronically by the secretariat to each accepted author no later than August 15, 2008 informing them that their abstract was accepted and inviting them to submit a full paper.  Instructions will also be provided on the paper format and the submission procedures.

 

Notes to Authors

 

In submitting an abstract you certify that it is an original contribution and give permission to the Conference organizers to publish it on the Conference web site and in the Conference Book of Abstracts which will be distributed to all ICF12 participants.

Abstracts will be collated and printed in the book of abstracts for distribution to the conference delegates at registration.

Full papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings on CD-Rom. Both the Conference book and the Conference Proceedings will be distributed to the conference delegates at registration.

Submission of an abstract constitutes the commitment of at least one author to register for the Conference and present the paper as accepted, regardless of date/time assigned. Expenses associated with the preparation, submission and presentation of a paper are the responsibility of the author/presenter.

Furthermore, you understand that your abstract and paper will be published as submitted. The organizers reserve the right to reject any abstract and paper at their sole discretion.

 

Presenting authors are limited to submitting one (1) abstract, but can be co-authors of multiple ones.

 

  • All abstracts must be submitted electronically in English using the Microsoft Word for PC template supplied via the Conference website. It will be reviewed by the scientific program committee. Selection of abstracts to become full papers will depend on the scientific quality and relevance to the conference.

 

  • Abstracts of a commercial nature will not be accepted

 

  • The deadline for submitting an abstract is 11:59 PM EDT, Sunday, June 15, 2008. All abstracts will be peer reviewed and those accepted will be assigned to one of the technical sessions.

 

  • The presenting author whose abstract has been accepted for full paper presentation must register by April 28, 2009 and pay the registration fee in FULL in order for its full paper to be published in the Conference CD-ROM of Papers. He further agrees to be present at the date/time of its scheduled presentation.   

 

  • It is the responsibility of the presenting author to ensure accuracy of content, spelling, presentation and formatting of the abstract. Please ensure it is complete and in its required format prior to submission. The organizers do not accept any responsibility regarding the accuracy of the abstracts submitted.

 

  • Abstracts not meeting the formatting specifications of the template or exceeding the 150 word limit will not be considered by the Scientific Program Committee.
